Unite 4 Peyton, Inc. is organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes as specified in Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The specific purpose of the organization is to contribute funds received from charitable donations and fundraising activities, to research projects of other non-profit organizations and individual medical researchers into the treatment and eventual cure of Spinal Muscular Atrophy. We also provide financial assistance to children affected by this disease.
The activities of Unite 4 Peyton can be classified into the following major Groups:
- Funding for research into the cause of Spinal Muscular Atrophy
- Financial Assistance to those affected with SMA
- Fundraising programs
Unite 4 Peyton will provide financial assistance to children affected with SMA. To qualify for financial support, an applicant will be required to fill out the Unite 4 Peyton Application (soon to be released). The following are, however not limited to being awarded a financial grant:
- Help with the cost of medical needs not covered by Insurance ( must show proof denial)
- Educational equipment (IPad, Touch to speak, etc.)
- Transportation Costs ( Clinic, FSMA Conference, hospital)
- Extended Hospital Stays
- Other costs associated with SMA
